Makeup artist in Sighnaghi
Sighnaghi is 110 km from Tbilisi, a two-hour drive. It is called the city of love for a concrete reason: its marriage house registers weddings twenty-four hours a day. That single fact means a Sighnaghi ceremony can happen at any hour, including the middle of the night.

A marriage house that never closes
Sighnaghi's marriage house registers marriages at any hour of the day or night. That is what turned the town into Georgia's principal address for spontaneous and small weddings.
For us it means the schedule here is unusually free. Preparation can begin in the afternoon or the evening rather than at six in the morning, and if the ceremony is late in the day, driving back to Tbilisi the same night is entirely realistic.
A hilltop town: wind and midday sun
Sighnaghi stands on a hill at around 790 metres above the Alazani valley. That is why the view is what it is — and for the same reason the town is exposed to wind, and the midday sun here is direct.
Most of the photography happens on the town walls and around the fortifications, where nothing shelters you. Setting is therefore mandatory and glossy lip products are ruled out: in wind, hair sticks to them and every frame needs fixing.
Cobblestones, and a whole day on foot
A Sighnaghi shoot means walking the town — cobbled streets, staircases, the old walls. It runs for several hours and rarely stays in one place.
The practical conclusion is that the makeup has to be done as though no touch-up will happen, because often none does. The base goes on more durably, and you leave with a small kit so you can refresh the lip yourself without redoing anything else.
110 kilometres, two hours
The road to Sighnaghi runs along the main Kakheti highway, with the final stretch climbing the hill. The 110 km take roughly two hours.
That is close enough that driving up the same morning is the normal choice, and arriving the night before is rarely necessary — unless you need to be ready before seven.
Price and booking
Makeup starts at 150 GEL, with travel quoted separately and stated up front. At a small wedding it is often only the bride, which is the simplest and least expensive arrangement.
Send the date, the ceremony time and where preparation will happen. Unusual hours are common in Sighnaghi and are not a problem — we simply need to know in advance.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Sighnaghi's marriage house really operate 24 hours?
- Yes, registration is possible at any hour of the day or night. That is precisely why the town became Georgia's main destination for spontaneous weddings.
- Will you come if the ceremony is at night?
- Yes. Sighnaghi is two hours from Tbilisi, so an evening or night ceremony and a return the same night are realistic. We just need the time confirmed in advance.
- We will be walking around town all day. Will the makeup last?
- That is the assumption we work to in Sighnaghi. The base goes on more durably, glossy lip products are avoided because of the wind, and you keep a small kit for refreshing the lip.
- How long is the drive to Sighnaghi?
- Two hours for 110 km. That is close enough to travel the same morning; arriving the night before is only needed if you must be ready before seven.
