Makeup artist in Gldani
Gldani sits at the northern end of Tbilisi, thirty to forty minutes from the centre in ordinary traffic and closer to an hour in the morning rush. That drive is the whole of what makes a Gldani booking different: it does not change the price, but it does change what time the artist has to leave, and therefore how early an appointment can realistically start.

Distance changes the schedule, not the cost
There is no separate travel fee anywhere inside Tbilisi, Gldani included. The appointment costs what it costs in Vake.
What it changes is planning. If you need to be ready at eight in the morning for a ceremony in the centre, the artist is leaving home well before six, and that has to be agreed at booking rather than asked for the night before.
The same applies in reverse at the end of the day. An appointment finishing at nine in the evening means a drive back across the city afterwards, which is fine when it is planned and awkward when it is assumed.
Give the block, not just the street
Gldani is laid out in numbered micro-districts, and addresses here are commonly given as a block and building number rather than a street name. A pin or a block number is far more useful than a street.
Buildings that look identical from the road are genuinely identical, and the entrances are numbered in an order that is not always obvious from outside. The entrance number matters as much as the building.
Send a map pin if you can. It removes the ten minutes that otherwise get spent walking between entrances, and those ten minutes come out of your appointment.
Lifts, and the honest question about them
Most Gldani housing is nine or sixteen storeys with a lift. When the lift works, this is one of the easiest districts to arrive in.
When it does not, a sixteenth floor is a serious climb with a full kit, and it is the one thing that genuinely delays an appointment here.
So the question at booking is not just which floor — it is whether the lift is currently working. People are often slightly apologetic about answering that. They should not be; it is far better known in advance than discovered at the door.
Space is an advantage here
Gldani flats are typically larger than equivalent flats closer to the centre, and that is a real working advantage that rarely gets mentioned.
A wedding morning with four or five people having makeup needs somewhere to set up, somewhere for people to wait, and somewhere for a dress that is not the same chair. In a small central flat that is a logistical problem; here it usually is not.
Group bookings are consequently straightforward. The arithmetic is the same everywhere — an hour per person, counted backwards from when the first car leaves — but there is room to run them properly.
- Weddings — space for a full morning with several people
- Christenings and family events, usually early
- Graduations and birthdays
- Evening appointments, planned with the return drive in mind
Price and booking
Makeup starts at 150 GEL. No travel fee inside Tbilisi. An hour per person of actual working time.
Book earlier than you would for a central district, particularly for a morning slot. The constraint is not availability in general — it is that an early Gldani start commits the whole first half of the artist's day.
Send a map pin or the block and entrance number, the floor, whether the lift is working, and the time you need to be ready.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you travel to Gldani?
- Yes, on-site, with no separate travel fee — it is inside Tbilisi. The distance affects the schedule rather than the price.
- Can you come early in the morning?
- Yes, and it is common for weddings and christenings. It has to be agreed at booking, because an early Gldani start means leaving the centre before six.
- What address details do you need?
- A map pin, or the block, building and entrance number — street names are less useful in Gldani. Also the floor and whether the lift is working.
- Can several people have makeup at the same flat?
- Yes, and Gldani flats usually have the space for it. Allow an hour per person and count backwards from when the first car has to leave.
