Makeup artist at Lopota
Lopota sits in Napareuli, in the Telavi municipality of Kakheti — roughly 150 km and two and a half hours from Tbilisi. It is one of Georgia's busiest wedding venues, and its defining feature is that the ceremony, the reception and the accommodation are all on one estate.

One estate, and why that changes the schedule
At Lopota the guests stay on site. That single fact reorganises the whole day: the bride, her mother, her sisters and her friends are all in the same hotel, and makeup is done back to back in one room.
For us this is the easiest possible format — no travel between locations, no time lost. In exchange, the number of people is usually somewhere between five and eight, so the morning starts considerably earlier than at a city wedding.
Lake humidity in the evening
Lopota is built beside a lake, and that affects conditions in a way the rest of Kakheti does not share. Daytime is dry and hot; in the evening, humidity rises near the water — which is exactly when the ceremony and the photographs take place.
The base is therefore built to hold under humidity, and setting is done in two stages: once during preparation, once before the ceremony. This is not a general principle. It is the specific answer to an evening event held beside a lake.
The road through Telavi
The route to Napareuli normally runs through Telavi and over the Gombori Pass. On flat ground 150 km would take two hours; here it comes to roughly two and a half, because the pass section is mountainous and winding.
When several people need to be ready by eight or nine in the morning — which is normal at Lopota — arriving the previous evening is more reliable than leaving Tbilisi at five.
Harvest season and availability
September and October are the grape harvest months in Kakheti and the busiest weeks of the year. Saturdays at Lopota are frequently taken six months ahead — first the venue itself, then every service around it.
If you are planning for autumn, write to us as soon as the venue is confirmed. It is the only period in the year when date availability is a genuine constraint rather than a formality.
Price and booking
Makeup starts at 150 GEL, with travel quoted separately. For a group we calculate the full amount in advance and give you one figure, with nothing added later.
Send the date, the ceremony time and how many people need makeup. You will get the total and an hour-by-hour schedule showing who sits in the chair when.
