Makeup and hair are booked together for two reasons: to save time, and to make the two halves agree with each other. The second matters more than it sounds — hair worn up and a bare forehead move the centre of a face somewhere quite different from hair worn down.

The order matters
Technically hair usually goes first, if it needs spray or heat. Spray lands on finished makeup and stains the base — that is the most common reason the two done together turn out badly.
If the style is simple and needs no spray, the order can change. So when booking we ask which style you want, not just whether you want one.
Hair changes where the makeup goes
This is the connection most people do not account for until they see the photographs.
- Hair up — open forehead and neck, so an eye accent carries the look
- Hair down — the face is framed, so lip colour reads more strongly
- Swept to one side — asymmetry, which puts weight on the brow line
- A high style — neck and shoulders are visible, so tone has to continue lower
Where the time is actually saved
Booking two specialists separately means two journeys, two waits and often two locations. In one appointment both halves happen in sequence and the journey between them disappears.
This matters most on a wedding or graduation morning, when the hour of readiness is fixed and every extra movement is a risk to the schedule.
Hair that holds to the end of the day
How long a style holds depends more on hair type than on product. Fine straight hair loses shape faster; thick wavy hair holds shape longer but changes volume with humidity.
If the day is long, say so in advance. It decides how tightly the style is built in the first place — for a long event it is set slightly firmer so that it still looks right by the middle of the day.
