Destination weddings in Georgia
A destination wedding is a logistics problem before it is an aesthetic one. Kakheti is roughly 90 km from Tbilisi, Batumi 370 km and Mtskheta 20 km — and those three numbers decide how the wedding morning has to be built.

Kakheti
Kakheti is the autumn destination: September and October are the grape harvest, and the wine estates host weddings through it. Tbilisi to Telavi is roughly 90 km, up to two hours depending on traffic.
Logistically that means guests stay overnight and suppliers either travel the day before or start very early. We work either way — which is better depends entirely on the ceremony hour.
Batumi
Batumi is the summer destination and sits about 370 km from Tbilisi, five to six hours by road. That distance effectively rules out doing the day as a single trip.
Batumi has one technical peculiarity of its own: humidity. On the coast a base behaves differently than it does in Tbilisi, and it changes the product choice — not theoretically, but within the first hour.
Mtskheta
Mtskheta is about 20 km from Tbilisi and is the only destination option where single-day logistics genuinely work.
Ceremonies frequently take place in historic churches, where the light is dim and warm. That affects the makeup directly: a light application in that light barely registers in photographs, which is the opposite of what most people expect.
What changes in the morning schedule
A destination wedding adds two items to the morning, and both are routinely under-counted.
- When the artist arrives — the day before, or that morning
- Travel between the getting-ready location and the ceremony, if they differ
- Time for touch-ups after arrival, if the drive is over an hour
- Where makeup happens — the hotel, the estate, or the ceremony venue
How to book
Send the city or region, the ceremony hour, and how many people need makeup. From that we tell you whether arriving the day before or that morning makes more sense, and what the travel costs.
Prices start at 150 GEL with travel calculated by distance and settled before you book. That figure does not change afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you travel to weddings in Kakheti?
- Yes. Tbilisi to Telavi is roughly 90 km. Depending on the ceremony hour we either come the day before or start very early that morning.
- How does a Batumi wedding work?
- Batumi is about 370 km from Tbilisi, five to six hours by road, so a single-day trip is not realistic. Arrival is the day before.
- Does humidity affect the makeup?
- Yes, noticeably in Batumi. On the coast a base behaves differently, so the product choice changes before we set out rather than on the day.
- Is Mtskheta doable in one day?
- Yes. At about 20 km from Tbilisi it is the only destination option where single-day logistics genuinely work.
