The beginners' block covers five practical skills, and each one is practised separately before anything is combined.

Where you go next

After the beginners' block there are two paths. If the goal is your own face, you move to the course for doing your own makeup, which is built entirely around it.

If the goal is the profession, you move to the artist's course, which adds reading a stranger's face, hygiene and client work. The beginners' block is identical for both.

The only things you genuinely need are a source of natural light at home to practise in and an acceptance that the first two weeks will be uneven.
